Our History

2001
Ensyst was established in Sydney in 2001 to provide help desk support.  During its first year, Ensyst was admitted into the Microsoft Partner Program as a Gold partner and began a strong partnership with Microsoft and a focus on Microsoft technologies and solutions that continues to this day.

2005-6
In 2005 Ensyst acquired the business of Synergy IT, another help desk provider based in Sydney.

2007-8
In 2007 Ensyst launched its unified communications and collaboration practice with a focus on the delivery of Office Communications Server and SharePoint. During 2007 and 2008 Ensyst made a significant investment in the help desk system and implemented an ITIL framework to ensure customer satisfaction.

In 2009 Ensyst acquired the business of NT Solutions, and was recognised by Microsoft with both global and Australian partner awards.

2010
By 2010 Ensyst was one of the leading providers of the Microsoft Productivity platform, recognised as a finalist in the Worldwide Partner of the Year Awards for Unified Communications. With changes to the Microsoft partner network in 2010, Ensyst was the first Australian partner to achieve Gold Competency certification in Unified Communications. We also achieved Gold Competency certification in Desktop, Portals & Collaboration and Systems Management.

2011
Ensyst again achieved global recognition in 2010 with Microsoft partner awards.

2012
Ensyst was a finalist in four categories in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards in 2013, in Private Cloud, Communications, Productivity and Online Services, and was recognised for innovation in the delivery of cloud solutions as Online Services partner.

2013
Ensyst achieved two national awards in 2013, recognising its position as the pre-eminent Lync partner in Australia, and our  success and focus in delivering Microsoft Cloud solutions, specifically Office 365 and Windows Azure. We achieved this award for the second consecutive year.

2014
In 2014, Ensyst won two awards in the Microsoft worldwide partner awards, then one the Australian Partner Awards.

In December 2014 Optus Business announced it had acquired Ensyst as part of its ICT transformation, bolstering its professional services and managed services expertise.

2015
Ensyst formally became part of Optus in February 2015, aligning with the products, solutions & ICT division of our parent organisation. Ensyst became an integral part of the increasing Cloud momentum within Optus, including the announcement Optus had joined Microsoft’s OS Network (April 2015) and the launch of the Optus Business’ Cloud Strategy (May). It was business as usual in 2015, we maintained our momentum and continued to deliver fantastic outcomes for our customers.

2016
One year on from joining the Optus family, Ensyst goes from strength to strength, expanding into Queensland and South Australia, and adding significant capability to our existing teams in NSW and Victoria.  As market momentum in Cloud continues, Ensyst continues to assist customers in leveraging the public, private and hybrid Cloud. Ensyst continues to be a significant part of the Optus Cloud offering, contributing to significant ongoing growth in Cloud services revenue.
