This organisation was seeking to migrate from its existing mail platform hosted on Novell GroupWise, and had chosen the Microsoft Cloud hosted platform, Office 365 as their future collaboration solution.
The organisation’s key requirements were for a swift and flexible migration with seamless data migration from GroupWise mailboxes to Office 365. In addition, they aimed to minimise the cost of migration without compromising on quality and effectiveness, and to achieve improvements in availability of the mail platform to ensure business efficiency and effectiveness.
The organisation engaged Ensyst for the overall migration project, recognising Ensyst’ exceptional experience with Cloud migration, particularly from legacy GroupWise environments, for clients including Pymble Ladies’ College, RSM Bird Cameron, Fire & Rescue NSW and Service First NSW.
The project included establishment of the supporting identity and authentication infrastructure and the actual migration of the organisation’s GroupWise mailboxes to the Microsoft Cloud.
A key element of this complex project involved Ensyst assisting with the business change impact of the migration. Ensyst utilised a migration methodology in line with the organisation’s change management, training and adoption requirements.
