Located west of the Sydney CBD, this local government organisation covers a large and rapidly growing outer metropolitan area with a population of more than 180,000.

The Council selected a cross-Council productivity suite of applications as their strategic platform for communication and collaboration.  As part of this initiative Ensyst was selected to provide design and implementation assistance to migrate users from their current Exchange environment to Office 365, then to provide support for the remaining migration to be covered by the Council’s IT staff.


The scope of this solution included design and deployment of Cloud Federation leveraging Azure Active Directory Synchronisation, and Active Directory Federation Services to provide a seamless user experience between on-premises and the Microsoft Cloud, as well as Exchange Hybrid to simplify the migration and ongoing management of the environment.

Ensyst worked closely with the client’s IT team during design and deployment of the solution and the pilot to enable internal staff to successfully manage migration of users to the Cloud and to manage ongoing operation of the platform.
