Located west of the Sydney CBD, this local government organisation covers a large and rapidly growing outer metropolitan area with a population of more than 180,000.
The Council had an aging PBX and wanted to provide an enterprise-grade telephony platform with additional real-time collaboration and communication solutions to its workforce in order to enhance productivity. The Council selected the Microsoft Productivity Suite to deliver on this requirement and more specifically Microsoft Skype for Business Enterprise Voice.

After a successful pilot in the client’s head office to test suitability of the platform for the broader environment, Ensyst undertook deployment of a production-ready platform, building out the core and deploying a redundant architecture to support the Council’s future data centre plans and additional locations and users.
Ensyst worked closely with the client’s IT team to migrate users across two sites to the new platform, while focusing on upskilling the Council’s IT team and assisting in the training and adoption of the new Unified Communications platform.
More than 600 Council users now have access to an enterprise-grade communications platform, enhancing their mobility and increasing productivity and collaboration.
