Messaging Solutions

Email is the most widely used business communication tool across the globe, and it is critical to the function of most organisations.  Users naturally assume they will have access to their work email on-demand, in real-time, and on any device.

Microsoft has long been the market leader for enterprise grade messaging services via Microsoft Exchange Server and the Outlook range of clients.  These services and applications are the defacto standard for organisations worldwide.

Provision of email was also at the forefront of Microsoft’s first ventures in to the Cloud, with email services delivered under a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering via the consumer Hotmail service.  Since then, we have seen Microsoft forge ahead with their messaging and collaboration offerings, with Live@EDU for education and BPOS for business.

Microsoft has now consolidated its corporate and education offerings in Office 365 – Microsoft’s Cloud productivity suite encapsulating Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Yammer and One Drive.  Initially launched in regional global datacentres, Microsoft launched Office 365 serviced for Australian data centres in early 2015.
